Focus areas include but are not limited to social and racial justice, gender and politics, and accessibility politics. Proposed research projects should be projects that are already progress. Eligible applicants are in the early career stage. First generation students/scholars and individuals from the following historically under-represented racial/ethnic groups are strongly encouraged to apply.

The purpose of the program is to honor hospitals and other health care organizations for their exceptional efforts to improve health and wellbeing in the community. Applicants should showcase strong leadership within their community, partnerships that help meet community needs, and a breadth and depth of community service initiatives.

Grants to USA and US Virgin Islands historically Black colleges and universities in multiple states to enhance the humanities curriculum. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for programs in a range of humanities-related fields. Eligible institutions are located in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia, and the US Virgin Islands.

Grants to USA institutions of higher education to enhance the humanities curriculum. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for programs in a range of humanities-related fields and should focus on curriculum development, student enrichment, faculty development, and partnerships.

Grants of up to $10,000 and grants of up to $20,000 to USA and territories nonprofit organizations, groups, and coalitions for social justice activities and projects. Funding is intended for programs within the focus areas of direct action, community organization and mobilization, and healing justice. The Mobilize Power Fund is a rapid response fund that resources gender justice organizations to adapt or pivot their work when met with unanticipated, time-sensitive opportunities or threats to their movement-building work and organizing conditions.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations, government agencies, hospitals, and institutions of higher education for studies related to diabetes. Funding is intended for research that will improve health outcomes for people living with Type 1 diabetes. Projects that hold a prospect for transformative breakthroughs that prevent, treat, or cure Type 1 diabetes will be given top priority.

Grants to Ohio political subdivisions for environmental awareness programs that benefit communities in eligible locations. Funding is intended to promote programming and activities that take place at parks in eligible districts. The program must be conducted in a park area owned or leased by the Miami County Park District.

Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International small businesses to participate in a competition to generate technology that can be used by the US military. The purpose of the competition is to devise long-range sensor equipment to be utilized by forces across wide expanses, such as the Arctic tundra, deep jungle, and overbuilt megacities.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit and for-profit organizations, government agencies, Tribes, and educational institutions for studies that correlate HIV and aging. Applicants are advised that required registrations must be completed prior to submitting an application. Funding is intended to advance understanding of the biological, clinical, and socio-behavioral aspects of aging through the lens of HIV infection and its treatment; and to improve approaches for testing, preventing, and treating HIV infection.

Grants to USA writers for written works related to contemporary visual art. Funding is intended for the production of short-form writing, books, and articles for both general and specialized art audiences. The program also supports art writing that experiments with literary styles and engages criticism through interdisciplinary methods. Both established and emerging writers are eligible to apply.

Grants of up to $25,000 to USA nonprofit organizations, land trusts, government agencies, recreation clubs, trail associations, and tribes for projects related to land access and stewardship. Funding is intended for specific projects in the focus areas of land acquisition, access to public water and land, development of new trails, access to private land, trail restoration, and education.

Grants to USA nonprofit institutions for research to improve the lives of American children and youth up to age 25. Funding is intended to support the effective exploration of policies and activities that address inequality for young people. Priority is given to studies about reducing inequality on the basis of race, ethnicity, economic standing, language minority status, or immigrant origins.

Grants to USA nonprofit organizations for research to benefit youth throughout the country. This program funds investigation into how and what type of research is used by policymakers and others when developing policies and programs affecting young people ages 5-25 in the United States. The Foundation's goal is to determine whether improving research use leads to improved youth outcomes. Two types of grants are available: Major Grants and smaller Officers' Research Grants.

Grants of up to $25,000 to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations and schools for initiatives that provide community support. Eligible organizations align with one of the following areas of interest: environment, health, social inclusion, employability, and financial literacy.

Grants of up to $7,500 to Ohio nonprofit organizations for programs that address critical needs in eligible counties. Funding is intended for projects and activities that respond to basic human needs, including but not limited to healthcare, housing, clothing, and food. Eligible applicants are located in and serve Montgomery, Miami, Greene, Preble, and Warren (north) counties.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International research organizations to conduct studies on pedestrian fatalities in the United States. Funding is intended for research studies determining the factors going into these fatal accidents in an effort to reduce pedestrian fatalities nationwide.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International research organizations to identify road infrastructure improvements that will contribute to enhanced transportation safety. Funding is intended to identify which improvements are cost-effective and have the biggest benefit in terms of preserving human life.
